Marianna Khienkina, Director of Finance

Marianna, who was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Russia, has been working for local governments for nearly two decades. Her 12-year career with the San Jose Redevelopment Agency allowed her to work closely in collaboration with local businesses on a variety of projects. She was instrumental in organizing neighborhood business associations geared to promote economic development and offer support for small business owners. In an effort towards Downtown revitalization she got involved in the Enterprise Zone Tax Credit Program as a Tax Credit Voucher Administrator. Being deeply immersed in the business community allowed Marianna to develop a deep knowledge of existing resources and activities as well as plans for future developments.

The next chapter of Marianna’s professional career began when she went to work for the County of Santa Clara. She was hired as an election specialist during two gubernatorial elections for the Registrar of Voters. Here again, her ability to communicate and connect with the community allowed her to secure 58 polling places and recruit over 400 working volunteers though northern county districts. Since then Mariana has transitioned to work for the Learning and Employee Development Department on a tuition reimbursement program.

Marianna currently serves as Treasurer on the Executive Board of the Silicon Valley Concierge Association. She enjoys this opportunity to put her education and experience to work in service of others and takes great pleasure promoting local businesses, hospitality in general and all things Silicon Valley.

When not working or volunteering, Marianna enjoys attending theater performances, gourmet cooking, wine tasting, and international travel.
