Robbie Schlosser, Director of Administration

Robbie Schlosser makes a living going to parties.  Playing his string bass and leading the Magnolia Jazz Band, he helps people enjoy their landmark celebrations — weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, holiday parties, corporate banquets — you name it!

Thank heavens for Robbie’s elementary school music program, or today he’d probably have an honest-to-goodness job.  Starting in the 3rd grade, music became his main hobby, and Robbie’s early ambitions for a scientific career eventually succumbed to his passion for music and love for entertaining people.

With over 40 years’ experience at thousands of events, he’s learned what it takes to get people into the swing of things and have a great time.  That was definitely a reason for his Lifetime in Hospitality Award from the SVCA which he won in 2015.

In addition, Robbie has been an active member of several national associations of hospitality professionals in the Bay Area.  He attends regular meetings of WIPA (Wedding Industry Professionals Association) and San Francisco NACE (National Association of Catering and Events).  And he has served on the boards of directors of Silicon Valley NACE, and Northern California ILEA (International Live Events Association). Robbie is currently the Director of Administration and served on the Executive Board of the Silicon Valley Concierge Association.

Robbie still manages the band’s business and performs nearly every day, having learned early on that he preferred working locally to life “on the road”.  Robbie continually learns from all his clients, colleagues, and fellow jazzmen, and finds that every day brings something new.
