Philip Jaw, Hotel Chair

It is very rare to encounter Philip without seeing a bright smile on his face and witnessing him giving someone a warm welcome. He was destined to be part of the hospitality industry long before he ever realized it. He began his career 10 years ago as a Sales Manager at the Biltmore Hotel & Suites before moving onward and upwards to the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara. Now Philip works for Huntington Hotel Group representing three properties in Silicon Valley, including; the Residence Inn and the SpringHill Suites San Jose Airport, and the Courtyard San Jose Campbell. He is currently working to open two additions to his companies local portfolio; the Homewood Suites Sunnyvale and the Hilton Garden Inn San Carlos.

During any free time that he can carve out of his busy work schedule, you are likely to find Philip hidden behind a camera. His love for adventure and the outdoors fostered a passion for photography which was only ignited in recent years. This hobby has rapidly grown into an all encompassing obsession and is basically all he wants to do with his time. Philip particularly enjoys shooting landscapes and has been addicted to finding unique and creative ways to capture images of the Milky Way in the nighttime sky. All of this has culminated into his latest role, serving as the Board Chair of Photography for the Silicon Valley Concierge Association.

In addition to the SVCA, Philip also serves on the Board of the Silicon Valley Business Travel Association as Treasurer.
